On the basis of her own experiences in an anonymous neighbourhood in the city centre, the author organised a series of interventions in and around the tenement house she lives in. Her goal was to encourage good relationships between neighbours. Based on her own research, observations and interviews with the inhabitants, she defined basic problems troubling her community and the most common causes of conflicts. The author created items featuring quotes from the interviews: signs, seats, doormats and tablecloths. She put them in common areas of the building, where the disputes usually occurred. The functional and metaphoric objects, with messages inspired by prohibitory and restrictive signs, convey the suggestions and feelings of the neighbours. All interventions were documented on photographs and culminated with a photo session with the residents.
