Reflections
A collection of small furniture pieces—a coffee table, a nightstand, a bathroom rack, and a pedestal dish—inspired by the design of the Polish People’s Republic (1952–1989).
The project is a tangible reflection on the fate of everyday objects designed in postwar Poland, which were widely discarded after the political transition from communism to democracy and, along with difficult memories, erased from collective memory.
The pieces are crafted from metal rods, ash wood, and reclaimed glass—materials that are seemingly ordinary, inexpensive, and anonymous. The collection highlights the craftsmanship of Polish design of the time, drawing attention to the extraordinary forms and hidden beauty of these objects.
The project is an expression of tenderness toward forgotten things: a symbolic and physical attempt to reclaim local design heritage and give it new significance.
Graduation 11
Publishing the catalog is always a special moment for us. It is not only a symbolic farewell to the graduating class but, above all, a record of the meeting of the "head"—acquired knowledge—with the "heart"—emotions and meaning. In this year's publication, we have collected 80 diploma projects that serve as the best showcase of our graduates.
