Bridging the gap between the human body and architecture

Great design starts with awareness. At School of Form, we focus on the relationship between the human body and its surroundings—in motion and at rest. To create environments that meet people's needs you need to understand how the senses work. After all, we experience space with our whole body.

We teach you to design across every scale: from a hand-held object to the intimacy of a home, to the complexity of a city square.

How do we move through space? How do we perceive light, color, texture, and sound? How does a physical environment influence social relations, a sense of security, and comfort?

You will find the answers by listening closely to people and observing how they ineract with their surroundings. At School of Form, spatial and interior design is about more than just giving something a shape. It is about creating safe living conditions with an openness to diverse ways of use.

What you will design

Temporary architecture, public spaces, and interiors

You will learn to design temporary architecture—from pavilions and installations to urban interventions that serve as a rapid response to social and environmental changes.

You will also focus on interior design and public spaces: workplaces, learning environments, cultural zones, relaxation areas, squares, streets, and parks. You will discover how to design them to be accessible, comfortable, and attractive for everyone.

Design practice

Technical knowledge and systems thinking

We balance creative intuition with professional skills. You will learn to prepare industry-standard technical documentation, conduct site surveys (inventories), and communicate your ideas through professional video and imagery.

Beyond the screen

Design tools and prototyping

Socially and ecologically responsible design requires conscious material choices. You will study material properties and their environmental impact, mastering the construction details that make a project functional and user-friendly.

While you will learn 3D modeling, you won't be limited to a computer screen. In our specialized workshops, you will create mock-ups, prototypes, and different scale models. This hands-on approach allows you to immediately test proportions and functionality in the real world.
